QPG (Queen’s Park Gardens Clubs and Football) is a not-for-profit community organisation, which started back in 2016 with a couple of local community volunteers providing free weekly football sessions in Queen’s Park - with the intention of it being a small weekly gathering in order to promote healthy and local active lifestyles. 

 

Due to this growth, we are now looking for a Sports Coach to join a pre-existing team of coaches in conjunction with Everyone Active and Planet Organic UK.

We expect the successful applicant to start in late March 2023, prior to Easter.  

 

Hours of work will be set at 10 hours per week, with the option of holiday overtime.

Job Description

 

Industry: Community outreach, out of school provision, Sports and Education.

Contract Type: Freelance, on-going agreement, with a 3-month probationary period.

 

Salary: 10 hours per week, hours to be worked over 3/4 days, may include some weekends. Remuneration is £15 per hour paid on a monthly basis via invoicing.

 

Location: Queen’s Park, London W10.

Interviews will take place between Monday 26th and Friday 30th June 2023 and subject to 2 satisfactory references, a projected start date of 3rd July.

 

Skills and Requirements:

 

Required - 1 years or more coaching experience, including leading a team.

 

Required - Safeguarding to Level 2 as a minimum - Level 3 Safeguarding training will be provided and a current enhanced DBS check, although this can be organised. Excellent communication and time-keeping skills. Strong accuracy and attention to detail. Good organisational skills are a must and the ability to prioritise and multitask.

 

Desirable - A minimum of Level 2 Football coaching qualification.
